A call for family reunification: An application to President Trump

On behalf of the Bhutanese American community, Susquahana Serfero humbly presents this appeal. Our deepest desire is to reunite with our beloved relatives who remain in Southern Bhutan, rebuilding the bridges of family and culture that define us.

The yearning for home and family

Our hearts ache for the opportunity to meet our relatives and return to the lands of Southern Bhutan, even if only for a visit. For too long, families have been separated, and the bonds of kinship stretched across continents. This application is a plea for understanding and assistance in making these reunions a reality.

A community's shared hope

This page is dedicated to every Bhutanese American who longs for connection. We hope you feel heard, understood, and empowered. Our collective voice can highlight the profound impact of separation on our community, reinforcing our shared cultural identity and the universal importance of family.

Our culture, our roots, our family

If there is one message to resonate, it is this: "We missed our relatives and the very base of our culture." Our heritage is interwoven with our families, and their absence leaves a profound void. Helping us reconnect is helping us preserve our identity and strengthen our community for generations to come.

"Our longing for family is not just a personal wish; it's a testament to the enduring strength of our Bhutanese culture, a culture we strive to preserve and pass on."
